Adjacent angles are two angles that share one side, while their other two sides form a straight line. The sum of adjacent angles equals 180°.
Vertical angles are two angles in which the sides of one angle are extensions of the sides of the other. Vertical angles are equal to each other.
Align the center of the protractor with the vertex of the angle, line up one side with the zero mark, and read the value on the scale where the other side of the angle crosses it.
